The Board of the Estonian National Congress in Sweden, meeting in Stockholm on Sept 22, wishes to express its deepest sympathy with the relatives of the victims of the Sept 11 terrorist attack, as well as with the people and Government of the United States.

The United States has on numerous occasions taken upon itself high human and material costs for the protection of freedom and democracy in Europe. The United States has also provided safety for many Estonians as well as others from all corners of the world who have fled persecution at home. We now call upon everyone to support the United States at this decisive moment.
